Shame on Amazon: this is not an original Brook & Hunter spade; it does have a red oak handle and stainless steel blade as advertised, but the accompanying "guarantee" is printed with spelling and gramatical errors, obviously from a "Far Eastern" Country. But the shovel which I purchased more than a year ago, is working fine, easy to clean, etc. so I cannot entirely dismiss the purchase.

Remarkable tool indeed. This digging spade is incredibly well built. It has a really strong handle and the blade has kept a good cutting edge. I love the grip on the handle. The shovel is beautiful and looks great after 1 month of almost everyday use. It just feels like it would last a lifetime. I would highly recommend this tool.
